Not long ago, I was trapped in a systemic loop. Working late-night rotational shifts at a major tech support company, dealing with random week-offs, and spending nine hours a day building someone else's empire just to survive in a highly competitive world. There is a brutal truth that sticks with you when you are staring at a corporate screen at 3 AM: “Salary is the drug a company gives you to forget your dreams.”
I wasn't a school topper. I was a backbencher. But since 2015—the year I got my first smartphone—my currency wasn't grades; it was creativity. Whether it was videography, graphic design, editing, or building prize-winning physical models (from cardboard vending machines to operational robots) for school science exhibitions, whenever a project demanded raw visualization, everyone looked for me. My fashion sense was distinct, my vision was different, and the corporate routine was slowly suffocating it.
I realized I didn't want to just survive. I wanted to build something monumental. I wanted to become one of the greatest of all time (GOAT) in the fashion space. So, I quit the job, broke the loop, and risked everything to engineer a startup.
DECODING THE IDENTITY: WHAT IS LEWKFIT?
When it came to naming this revolution, the vision had to be crystal clear. The brand name itself dictates our entire design philosophy:
LEWKFIT = LEWK (UNIQUE, DISTINCT, STYLISH) + FIT (THE ULTIMATE OUTFIT)
A "Lewk" isn't just clothing; it is a highly calculated, distinct personal aesthetic that breaks away from the ordinary. Paired with "Fit," the slang for an outfit, the brand represents a calculated garment engineered specifically to give our generation a powerful, unmistakable visual identity.
THE JUMP TO 2050 // CRACKING THE PHYGITAL CODE
The streetwear market is unforgiving. Every single week, a new brand launches, prints a basic graphic on a blank tee, and fades away. I knew Lewkfit couldn't just be another clothing label.
The spark happened while scrolling through a video showing technology in Japan. A man scanned a microchip tattoo embedded on his wrist to pay for things seamlessly. The title read: "Japan is living in 2050."
It hit me instantly. In India, people love tech, but not everyone wants to get inked with a permanent barcode on their skin. So, why not embed the chip directly into the garment that hugs your body just like a tattoo?
For the next five months, as a sole founder and product architect, I put my background in physical engineering and digital design to the test. I designed a custom web application from scratch and hardwired it into a premium physical product.
REDEFINING TECHWEAR // THE GEN-Z TRIFECTA
The global fashion industry has diluted the word "Techwear." Brands put heavy straps, extra plastic buckles, and tactical pockets on cargo pants and call it techwear—when there isn't a single piece of actual technology involved.
Lewkfit is changing that. This is India’s first true Smart Streetwear. We don't just mimic a futuristic aesthetic; we code the technology directly into the fabric matrix.
